LHS receives Frost & Sullivan Award
“BSS Award” for R&D in recognition of leadership and innovative use of technology
At a banquet held by Frost & Sullivan in Juan-les-Pins (France) last week, the leading provider of telecom customer care and billing systems LHS received the prestigious "BSS Award" (2007 Global Stratecast Investment of R&D Resources to address core billing needs Award). The award was given to LHS in recognition of its leadership in research and development as well as the use of technology to promote integration, interoperability and user friendliness. The best practices program of Frost Sullivan includes this traditional award that considers companies that have performed above industry average across regions.
“Frost & Sullivan's industry experts recognize the diligence and innovation required to implement business plans and excel in the increasingly competitive global marketplace. Award recipients have been chosen for outstanding performance in their respective fields,“ explained Joe Fristensky, Vice President Information & Communications Technologies Practice at Frost & Sullivan. Since the year 2001 LHS has significantly invested into R&D and has successfully applied this investment to its business and product offerings.
In the mid 90s, LHS introduced the first billing product using client-server technologies. Over the years the continuous investment has kept the product leading edge and evolved to integrate newer technologies such as Java, Service Oriented Architecture, and Web Services. “We are a global industry player regarding R&D in the billing sector. LHS has invested considerable resources in R&D and has successfully converted the results of the research into innovative and sustainable business solutions”, said Jens Troetscher, CTO of LHS. In addition to LHS, the high-profile companies awarded by the Stratecast Research Group included BT, France Telecom, Orange Business Services, and Gemalto.
