Telenor Serbia installs BSCS iX Release 2 rating and billing solution by LHS
Frankfurt, Germany – February 7, 2008 – LHS, a leading provider of telecom billing and customer care systems across the wireless, wireline, and IP telecom markets worldwide, today announced that Telenor Serbia, a member of the Telenor Group, is upgrading its BSCS7 billing and customer care system with BSCS iX Release 2, LHS' latest product. Telenor Serbia has also selected LHS as the prime contractor for the upgrade.
"We have opted for this solution because LHS has the required comprehensive BSCS iX R2 expertise in terms of architecture, configuration and migration. It also enables Telenor Serbia to provide future convergent offerings to our customers,"said Oystein Mikkelsen, Chief Technical Officer of Telenor Serbia. "This is a strategic project that is not IT-specific, but benefits our company business objectives and contributes to our operational excellence," he added.
Telenor’s customers will benefit from innovative services, pricing and product bundling as well as marketing and promotional offerings. With this new agreement, LHS and Telenor have deepened their cooperation that already includes several other Telenor affiliates around the world.
