LHS Appoints Parvaiz Ahsan as new Division Officer and Managing Director for MEA/APAC Regions

Former Irdeto Global Vice President Sales brings Great Experience, Expertise to new Position

Frankfurt, Germany – May 21st, 2008 – LHS, a leading provider of telecom billing and customer care systems across the wireless, wireline, and IP telecom markets worldwide, today announced that effective May 1st, Parvaiz Ahsan has joined its team of experts as new Division Officer and Managing Director for the Middle East and Africa (MEA) and the Asian Pacific (APAC) regions.

Before assuming his new position at LHS, Mr. Ahsan served as Vice President Sales of Irdeto, a post he had held since 2005 when he joined the Irdeto senior leadership team based in the Netherlands. Irdeto provides solutions for content protection in digital TV, IPTV and mobile environments and is a subsidiary of the Naspers multinational media group.

With an MBA (Aston University, UK) and a B.Sc. in Computer Science (Wolverhampton University, UK), Parvaiz Ahsan launched his career in 1988 at International Computers Ltd where he held positions in network engineering and later in corporate business analysis. He then took on the responsibility of Fujitsu’s channel distribution in Middle East, Africa and the Sub-Indian continent. In 1998, he joined British Telecom Plc as a major accounts director.

In 2000, Mr. Ahsan became Global Sales Director working for Concert (a joint venture between AT&T and BT), where he was promoted in 2001 to sales Vice President responsible for the travel and technology sectors. In 2002 he was appointed General Manager for BT’s consulting division responsible for marketing BT services to fixed and mobile operators in emerging markets. Having worked extensively in the international arena for many years, Mr. Ahsan has experience in working with diverse business cultures.
