New Project Engagement Model for LHS
System Integrators

Launch will guarantee the highest quality service for LHS customers

Frankfurt/Main – October 09, 2008 – LHS, a leading provider of telecom billing and customer care systems across the wireless, wireline, and IP telecom markets worldwide, today announced the launch of their new Project Engagement Model, which they have agreed with selected leading international System Integration (SI)-partners. LHS are building on more than 15 years of implementing BSCS, their billing and customer care software, at telecom operators around the globe. The new Project Engagement Model ensures and enhances the delivery quality of BSCS-projects with a clear guideline and project commitment by all involved parties and open communication between the client, the SI-partner and the software vendor.

This model will guarantee the highest quality service for the customer and define how LHS will engage with their strategic SI-partners to successfully implement BSCS migration, replacement and greenfield projects, with the aim of reducing the risk of complex project implementations and supporting the joint project team in delivering excellent results on time and on budget.
LHS has selected four strategic SI-partners as members of the new Project Engagement Model. Alcatel-Lucent, Atos Origin, Capgemini and Ericsson are appointed to Diamond Project Partners and have committed themselves to the new LHS Project Engagement Model. They are all long-standing players in the telco market, have demonstrated their expertise in priming BSCS billing-projects, and possess a delivery organisation with senior experts in various BSCS-related areas.

“Our partners are critical to the success of LHS in the telco market. As projects become more complex, there naturally emerges a need to better define the mutual objectives and roles before starting. This Engagement Model will truly benefit all stakeholders,” confirmed Wolfgang Kroh, CEO of LHS.

“For over 10 years, Alcatel-Lucent and LHS have successfully implemented BSCS-projects globally, by adopting the new Project Engagement Model we are confident that our customers will reap the benefits of improved project quality and time to market,” explained Jean-Pierre Gaillat, Managing Vice President Systems and Applications Integration of Alcatel-Lucent.

“Atos Origin’s participation as a member of the new LHS Project Engagement Model marks the beginning of a new era of our long term cooperation with LHS. As a globally recognised system integrator serving more than 30 BSCS-customers worldwide, we believe that this will help us deliver highly valuable services to our clients with a clear project commitment by all involved, efficient problem handling and resolution, swift communication and improved post-project support,” said Thierry Mileo, Vice President Global Market Telecom & Media at Atos Origin.

"Capgemini has partnered with LHS for decades to perform BSCS implementations for dozens of Telecom providers. We appreciate the services packages and expertise that LHS is providing through a clear Project Engagement Model approach. We are happy to be a member of the Project Engagement Model,” explained Laurent Bally, Directeur Général of Capgemini.

“The best ideas and solutions emerge from trustful cooperations. Therefore we always aspire to build up long-term partnerships with our customers and software vendors like LHS. Ericsson fully supports LHS’ new Project Engagement Model which we strongly believe ensures a maximum of security and quality for the customers and we will stick to the commitment. Open communication between all parties involved is the key to achieve optimum results,” said Franck Bouetard, Vice President Consulting and Systems Integration of Ericsson Global Services.
