LHS Customer Convention MEA Held in Amman

LHS community convenes to discuss and exchange information about latest developments and products

Frankfurt/Main – January 5th, 2009 – LHS’ yearly customer convention for Middle East and Africa took place on November 5 and 6 in Amman, Jordan. At the informative event, the LHS community of customers and partners was briefed on key market and technology trends and the LHS roadmap designed to help them succeed in the rapidly changing telecom markets. Participants in Amman were also among the first to receive a preview of BSCS iX Release 3 that will bring more simplicity, convenience, and choice to their business operations. The meeting was attended by well over 60 representatives of major regional telecommunications companies.

In addition to key lectures by LHS, select customers presented their experiences in cooperating with LHS. These included Tunisie Telecom, who presented how to leverage BSCS iX to achieve true customer focus, and a case study by MTN Syria on their BSCS iX Release 2 installation. In addition, Orange Jordan presented their vision of becoming “The integrated operator” based on BSCS iX. The event provided the attendees with many opportunities to exchange experiences and meet with their professional peers.

The attendees expressed their eagerness to attend similar events in the future to receive more detailed information on LHS products and their practical application as well as marketing options through on-site visits and case studies. “I would like to thank the organizers for their efforts in organizing this informative event and will certainly attend the conventions in the future. Besides, I want to find out more about the product and specifically its marketing opportunities, maybe through some more specific business cases,” said Maen Melhem of Jawwal Palestine.

“The LHS community of the MEA region is steadily increasing,” said Parvaiz Ahsan, LHS’ Division Officer Middle East/Africa and Asia Pacific. “This meeting provided them with inside information and allowed them to interact and trade insights on the application of BSCS iX in their operations. The outcome is excellent proof of our strong track record in convergent charging and billing projects in the region and internationally,” he added.
